About Prague...

I was still confused when I woke up the next morning. It was 8.00 and we had only 1 short hour to shower, eat breakfast, get out of the hotel, get to an exchange office, get back to the hotel and assemble the troupe.

At 9.00 we had a tour scheduled for the Clock Tower in the Old Square. We walked to the nearest tram station, hopped on a tram and in 20 minutes we arrived somewhere near the Old Square.

Now I’m not going to lie and say the square was full of people.
It was literally SWARMING with hundreds of tourists hailing
from all the corners of this now minuscule Earth. I myself spotted the following: Americans, French, Russians, Indians, Brazilians, Spanish and even a group of Australians. It was a miniature Tower of Babel that Old Square. I fell in love instantly.

The tower itself had a Gothic influence in its appearance. The columns and outer walls were decorated with medieval and overall religious motifs. On a side there was the Astronomical Clock it was famous for. Angels, knights, kings, priests, fair maidens, grim reapers all stood guard on this mighty bastion of undying history and ever living culture. It was truly an awe-inspiring sight, and my eyes were unworthy of its beauty.

The next stop was St. Charles Cathedral. Bringing myself to describe this holy place is difficult, because as I first laid eyes on this magnificent structure, all thoughts escaped from my mind, and all i was left with was pure amazement.
Standing hundreds of feet tall, imposing any believer and non-believer alike, the cathedral could turn atheist in a very fervent believer in mere minutes. The Gothic influence was also visible, and large mosaic tiles were suspended above the main gate. Inside, the walls showed long forgotten saints and kings, and pictured events from the bible.

Prague? Yep... Prague

You!

Yes, you... the reader…

I know you can have fun and you can drink (responsibly).
I also know you like the ladies and simply beautiful things. Well… ever wondered where all of this good stuff goes when you’re not looking?

Yeah… I asked myself the same question a couple of months ago. Thing is… I got my answer sooner than I thought. Here’s how it happened. At my school there is a troupe.

And I’m lucky enough to be a part of this here troupe.
One day, the professor in charge of the troupe comes to us and says that we are going to have to perform a play for a contest.

Sure, there’s nothing special about that. But, when the professor finally disclosed the supposed location of the event, i almost fell of my chair. That’s right. Prague! Smack in the middle of Europe. Famed capital city of the Czech Republic.

At first i was all hyper (”zomg zomg lol wtf!1!oneone11!!!” as some would say), but i soon calmed down and said to myself and the team (also crazed with excitement) that we were up to this challenge. I’m gonna skip the boring part of this post and get straight to the point.

After a really, really long ride (26 hours by train), we finally reached our destination. Even though we were tired as hell, happiness, curiosity and overall excitement could still be spotted on our faces. We arrived during the night, therefore could not clearly see the city. I found me a roommate, grabbed a key and quickly jumped into bed.

Needless to say, the only thought reverberating in my head was ”praguepraguepragueprague”.

As soon as my head felt the soft touch of the pillow (that was as hard as a rock by the way, found out in the morning), I called it a night and let the infamous Sandman do what he does best.
